Guiding research, advancing knowledge

Gurleen Kaur works alongside the Director across the full range of The Research Beacon's services, supporting scholars through publication, research guidance and data analysis. She is often the first voice a scholar hears from us — handling enquiries, follow-ups and day-to-day communication — and assists with journal and conference submissions, manuscript preparation, document formatting and analysis under the Director's guidance, so that every project moves forward on time and nothing is missed.

A Commerce postgraduate in finance and accounts with a working knowledge of data analysis, she also plans and runs the firm's workshops and training programmes. Her certifications in business and financial analytics, Power BI, Tableau, advanced Excel and generative AI tools bring a structured, detail-driven approach to everything she handles.

Sushma Garg brings more than three decades of academic experience to The Research Beacon, having taught and mentored students in higher education continuously since 1995. As Academic Associate, she works with scholars on the academic substance of their writing — reviewing synopses, chapters and manuscripts for clarity, structure and argument, and helping authors present their work in a form that examiners and reviewers expect.

Her long teaching career gives her a clear sense of what students and scholars actually need, and she brings that understanding to every draft she reads. She also supports TRB Academic Press in developing book and chapter manuscripts from proposal to print, guiding authors on structure and presentation while keeping the work firmly their own.
